Has anyone ever used RTV on the coolant bypass in place of the o ring? Seems that I've lost the o ring that seals the coolant down tube from the thermostat housing to the top of the water pump. I pulled it on purpose. There was an o ring labeled "coolant bypass" in my Merchant kit but it's too big? Kinda pisses me off, but I can't see why copper or grey RTV won't work. Nearest stealer is 20mi away and closing and I can't see my self stopping after as much progress as I've made today.

Got the o ring to fit anyway. It's weird, but I seem to remember it being the same way when I was doing my water pump.. The o ring just seems to be too thin and large in diameter. Press it just right it fits like a glove. I gobbed it up with sil-glyde to give it a bit more surface tension. I''ll try to install the coolant crossover assembly once I get my son home. Thanks Honda.
