Rpm's at 70, 80 mph

What is everyone's Rpm's at those mph?
I'm at 2200 at 70 and like close to 2400 at 80,
Egt's are at 700 and boost slightly around 6 psi.
Was reading I should be at 1700 Rpm's at 70.
Is this true?
Running a fast 100 tune with 265/75/16 tires.
Around 22.5 mpg

Mine also runs 2000 at 80 with 265/70r18s.

Your not gonna be at 1700 rpm driving 70 with the truck listed in your signature. If you had a 6 speed then you would be around 1700.

Your right on par for what you have. On 37s and stock gears I turn 1800rpm at 70 and 2000-2100 at 80.

nothing other rear end gears or a 6 speed trans or bigger tires

what current timing while cruising?
pending load on the truck i run 7-13* of timing while cruising or about 1* per 100uS of pulse width

to make you feel any better... .75 :1 OD 225/70/19.5(32") 4.63:1 gears 70 is just under 2500rpm

2k @ 80 mph with 37's and 4.56's. Might drop to 4.10's to improve mpg's.
