In Alberta and BC, it has been a ticketable offence to cause any sort of blockage to the vision of others on the road whether it be smoke out of the exhaust, engine or off the tires for longer than I have been driving. They can write you up for stunting or if it causes an accident wreckless endangerment. So not sure why it wouldn't be in most of the states as well.

I think anyone with half a brain and common sense can determine how much would be considered blockage - I.E. if you can't see the intersection lights or the vehicle in front of you or a stop sign.
Or your dash if your driving a prius with your window down at the wrong time........

I have yet to ever see anyone "roll coal" where I live. Just trucks that are a little more smokey then normal but its never purposeful.

.

I was being a smart a**, I got pulled over for excessive acceleration once. I was like ummm please define that cuz the tires didn't break loose and I was not racing off the stop light. I had to go to a 2 day class to keep from getting a ticket.

There have been a couple asshats around me driving Cummins that blow smoke because they think it's cool. And it definitely is dangerous, on idiot pulled on the highway and just poured smoke in front of some f150 and both lanes had to hammer on the brakes because you couldn't see **** all. Best part was once he got up to speed death wobble hit his truck, and he had to pull off..never seen the front end bounce around like that before.

Tell you what, after driving a very-quiet Aurora for the last few months, I've come to realize just how shockingly loud BBT really is when I drive it.
I almost feel I should go apologize to my neighbors for all the times I started that truck before 7am or came home after 10pm, its that loud.

As for smoke, Im to the point that I feel bad when I accelerate hard onto the freeway, b/c even on the "stockish" tune, it blows a decent cloud.

I had to put a locking dsp switch on my rig to lock my self out,I have blacked out 11 several times on wot pulls and I feel like an ass for doing it even if unintentionally.Cant imagine doing it on purpose.

Rollin Biodiesel

How about this...
Lets all take video of our rigs rollin coal on pure biodiesel and post em up to piss off the Prius crowd. I'll even supply the fuel. Since it's the cleanest carbon based fuel available anywhere today, and will pass emissions straight pipped better than a 2015 DPF'd truck, what they gonna say?

Here is one I took last week rollin it out of Beaver Creek CO [a major tree huger hang out].

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/4lsIPMPL4gs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

PS, I drove out there and back on almost straight B100, burning less than 100 gal of dyno diesel over that 4500miles of travel. In other words, a Prius would have well over doubled our C02 emissions on that same trip. So go F yourself if ya don't like a little smoke, I can even drink my fuel and really piss ya off.

Did you frame the ticket and hang it in the garage? :coolspot:

I still have it somewhere in garage, one of the filing cabinets. My pops has a similar ticket from 1968 from when he was home on leave from NAM, but it was "wreckless display of power" in his road runner 440, and another in his GT350
