I'm also running a bigchevyhitch with a roll pan. I decided to have mine come from behind the plate for a cleaner look. I'm also running a stack so there's nothing hanging down in the back. Like said before James builds his hitches to your specs so it's just how you want it. Ive been sled pulling with the hitch pretty much all year with a good size drop hitch and have had no problems. I've also towed my other truck a bit running a 14" drop hitch with no problems. His hitches are built to last for sure

Yeah it definitely looks cleaner behind. But I always am pullin something. Mainly bobcat trailers. To/ from job everyday. I also have a 5in exhaust w/ 6in tip that I'm worried will look dumb as hell now with the bigger bumper gone. Hope it looks alright.

I didnt think it looked bad?

No jake it looks good for sure. I am same color as yours just the 06-07 body style. I think you either have more body covering the tires and rear end or your truck is lower. And my exhaust is flat and not tipped down like yours. I may have to tip mine like yours after the pan and tuck it more cause yours looks good. I have thought about a dump over the axle in the middle also. I have to get my pan on now cause all your guys info and pics has me all pumped.

Jheyob I like the bracing u have. That f***er is strong lookin!

How much do you trim out of the spare tire crossmember to make the hitch set up high enough

I did alot more than needed. IIRC it was about right at the bottom side of the radious. You don't need to take that much. I have more than an inch gap now and I mounted my hitch on top of the frame rather then below. Saw zall works great! Found out after I ran out of griding wheels :roflmao:

What size of drop hitch do you think I should get? I have a 6" drop hitch now, But I will be towing a 35ft fountain lighting that with the boat and trailer weighs about 9,000lbs so I need a heavier duty hitch
