I built my own also. I think it turned out pretty good. I've posted pictures here somewhere. I'll dig them up if you want to see what I did.
If you guys don't mind, please post some pics thanks:thumb:Built mine as well (cut up factory hitch and modified it) extended the reciever and put an extra square tube inside it to make it stronger... Not sure of that helps, just mentioning it because it can be done.. Bit of work but not a huge deal
OK cool I will check his outSean has the one from bigchevyhitch :baby::thumb: with the receiver behind the licence plate. It flips down. Only thing is you have to cut a piece of that crossmember to make it fit.
Pics please,looks like custom is the way to goI made mine. 3x3 box notched to fit a reese style receiver you can buy from tsc. Welded into the frame with gussets. Comes with in 1/8" of the license behind the roll pan
ThanksCustom is the way to go. I made one out of 3x3 and used some thick 3x5 angle for the end brackets to bolt in the stock location. It held up to sled pulling just fine.
