Putting a cage in my regular cab. Just wondering how guys tie the cage to the frame? Was thinking of welding a piece of rectangle tubing to the frame so the bars go through the floor to that.

Both my LB7 and my half ton are a 1 5/8 hole in the floor so the bar can weld to the frame. believe there has to be a 6x6" plate at the body joint as well

So weld the pipe to the frame like pictured? We was thinking like the other but a cleaner set up.

I have heard of people using outriggers off the frame for the lower mounts. Is that legal?

No need for a plate at the body, just at the frame. If it was a unibody it would be a different story.

You can use a square tube out rigger, radius tube or what ever you think will work and be the cleanest. I would gusset the tube to the frame if you use the tubing to frame (not a boxed square tube out rigger).
