I think Simon got booted off the local track under the need a rollbar for faster than 11.5 sec or 130mph (or maybe it was 135mph) whichever comes first rule.

Last time I checked we were good without anything til 11.00.

11.49 needs a 5 pt bar. 10.99 needs a 6 pt. bar.

here's some pics of mine. no issue putting the rear seat in and out, and the swing outs come completely off woth one bolt.

IMO, I wouldn't build a ccsb into a full race truck. You can dump a lot of $ into it then get to the point where you want a little more out of it and wish it was lighter or could be lighter. :2cents:

True, but for alot of us it was a slow progression from a truck with a tuner and so on and so on. plus fast crew cabs are cooler:D

LOL better off going back to racing cars at that point. I thought is was the point to make something heavy fast :spit:
Heavy is a pretty relative term. 4,000 lbs is pretty heavy for a drag racer in the gasser world, but it is really light for a diesel. I thought the point of diesel racing was to go fast in a diesel.

Roll Bars

Have at it guy's and ladies! I will be cutting the bar back out of mine soon. I want a truck back that I can enjoy and drive! That's why I got into diesel's because you could and I have made mine were I can't and I don't like it anymore. I will have a LIGHT back half 2 wd that I will assure everyone it will not break parts like what I have now. If they(rules makers) are going to let the 2 wd's have the big weight break that's what i'm doing. Jeff

why not just put a bend on both ends of the bar that goes behind the seat, then you can recline it a bit and still attach the belts to it.

Chad if you don't have anyone around your area to make a cage there is a speed shop over here that can make one mocked up off my truck.

Thanks for the offer, Kyle. If I can't find anybody closer, I will take you up on that offer:thumb:

Thanks for posting, it gives me a better idea of what I'll need to do to keep the back seat.
