My truck is making a roaring or whooshing sound while accelerating. It's louder when it's under a load (towing). Sounds like I turn the defroster on high while I'm accelerating. When I let off the pedal the noise goes away. No air is coming out of the defroster, checked that. I haven't noticed a performance hit, but it does seem to smoke a little more than usual. Didn't know where to post this so please move it to the correct forum if needed. Thanks for any info...

sounds like a boost leak. it's usually a loud rushing air sound, under accel you'll have more boost ie more air loss, and loss of boost means more smoke.

TX of course
Is it all the time or just in the morning/cold? If it's just in the morning it's called "morning sickness" and is normal.
