My Dad has a Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in 270WSM. Which I have shot far more times than him, I had to sight it in the last two times he changed the scope. Between the two of us we have 3 model 700s as well.

In a comparison I feel the Browning is the better gun.
The A-Bolt action, 30* bolt swing, tang safety, and palm swell in the composite stock are all very good benefits to the gun.
A-Bolt action is as accurate as the 700 action. The 30* degree bolt swing makes a follow up shot smooth and quick. The tang safety is where the Browning really has an edge over the 700. The 700's safety has always been harder to reach and noisy (when in the presence of game) if not held back with the thumb. The palm swell, mostly found in wingshooting guns, directs recoil out the arm and away from the shooter resulting in less felt recoil. My Dad's 270 WSM has the recoil equivalent to a 222 Rem.

Nothing against the Remington they are great guns. They are what I was raised using, and I still own two of them. There are just some minor details that set the Browning ahead imo.
