I've got one on my truck. I'm at 900 or more hp and no complaints as of yet. I had them restall the torque converter so once I get it back in I'll give you an update.

I've heard more bad than good. I wouldn't touch them.

Same here.. I haven't had any personal experience with anyone but Suncoast and haven't seen any other Allison kits than than the G-Max 6 from Suncoast. What I can say is I did a lot of research before I bought the Suncoast kit and was very impressed when I held the parts in my hands. During my research I didn't find mush said about Rev-Max that was positive...

Here is the aftermath of a revmax Allison build. The problems were numerous and very obvious. Slotted steels with flat frictions, converter flow valve ground on wrong end, clearances all over the place. The truck made exactly two wide open pulls in one gear before the trans came apart.

It's honestly not the transmission I would have chosen but it was installed on the truck a month before I bought it. Until something goes wrong I'm not going to change it. Their customer service is great and so far it's taken everything I've thrown at it. This trans was built in house by revmax fwiw.

I'll deffinatly keep everyone updated if I have a failure though.

I'm not trying to sh?t talk your purchase just basing my statement off what I've seen.

I didn't take it that way at all. Trust me if rather have a trans that you built. It came with the truck so I'm just going to run it for as long as I can then if it goes I'll be headed your way to have you build it.

There kit isn't the best but it's cheap. The built trans they offer is decent. They hold up alright for pulling. I've seen two fail in racing applications. One from the converter flow valve being ground off on the wrong end.

so do stock trans too so i dont know if thats saying much. ive seen stock trans hold a hell of alot of power pulling cause your in 4lo so the gear reduction takes off some of the load to the trans

I'm contemplating. ... once my daily is back on the road I can have my truck down for however long needed. I might message him and see what his schedule looked like.
