took my heads to Guy when i picked up my motor parts. basically i did more work than i needed for the "end result" a lot of the stuff i did won't net me anything, but wont hurt.

as far as the kit shown in the ebay pic, sort of. i used some of the sanding rolls in the upper right corner of the pic. those were only for the fine tuning though

So the question went right over my head. After I typed that out and found the link, I had to stop ask myself why would NEENS ask such a question? I would image you (neens) would know about porting and polishing. I feel pretty retarded right now........

Nothing to see here, move along please....

motohed, to get to your question we have replaced a few sets of heads with those markings on them for using coolant. i think it is a reaction between the 2 metals and it corrodes the aluminum on the head. be careful with the resurfacing gm allowable spec is .0039".

I know enough about porting and polishing to not do it without a flow bench...That's all I meant...

There are 2 Chris' at SoCal diesel...I don't think we met, although I'm there a lot bugging Guy:D

port match- no
removeing casting flash- no
smoothing existing walls no..
smoothign out vavle bowl ares not really

max effort very much so.

There's more to it than just turning on the grinder and letting it bang around;)

Yes I would resurface them. You probably will need to change a few guides out and you should have the valves depth reset after resurfacing.
