repower starting

I am starting to wire my s10/duramax race truck and im curious as to how i can go about using a push button start and what can i wire to switch to shut the vehicle off ..is there any threads on this or anyone that has done it i thought i seen a thread once but cant find it now

You have a standalone harness?

I have a factory harness i will be removing what i dont need

So your making it yourself.... gotcha. Just wire up the starter via a button on the dash and a toggle type switch for ignition (ecm) power.
