Anyone know where I can find a replacement cable that goes between the v2 and the obd2 port? I’ve found lots without the end that plugs into the v2 but can’t find any that are already made up and pinned correctly to work with the v2.

Well their shipping rates along with everyone else’s is FN ridiculous. $45-$85 to ship a cable across the border? WTF is that about?

I live an hour from the Montana border and two from Idaho. Hardly the sticks. It’s ridiculous. It’s literally a $10 USPS package.
Drive to Idaho, grab one from IdahoRob. Last time I needed one of those cables, he had it in stock. It comes as a set with the USB and OBD2 cables, IIRC.

I suppose I could grab one and mail it to you, but I won't have time to stop by until Friday. PM me if you're interested.

I’d like to but it’s an 8hr drive one way lol.
I don’t need it tomorrow, mine still works, it just keeps falling out of the v2 as the plug is worn out. Don’t really want that to happen mid flash lol.

But if you wouldn’t mind doing that I’ll pm you when I do need it. Thanks

Sounds like you just need a new rj-45 plug? Should be able to get a new one crimped on at an electronic type store.

That’s exactly what I need but trying to find someone to do it is harder than you would think around these parts.

all you gotta do is worry about getting it pass the part just before it starts erasing the ECM or TCM memory. after that, if something happens, the ecm or tcm should not be bricked and it can be reflashed.

my connector is shot and ive had it pop out a few time mid flash cause i broke the lock off the end of the rj-45, its scary shit! josh explained to me how the process works and as long as you are past that point in the flash, you would be fine.

Good info. I’ve been needing a new cable but was too cheap to buy it from EFI Live because shipping was ridiculous.

buy a pack of rj45 connectors and a cheap crimper tool for them from the Home Depot. They can be used for the cable you need plus Ethernet and some other things. I believe my Valentine 1's use the rj45 plug as well.

Where are you in Norcal??? As mentioned So Cal diesel stocks them. There also the Authorised repair center.

EFILive is is in Newzeland, that's why it's so high from there.

really? Is that because of the tariffs?

Had I known Sunday, I could have sent one with a co-worker up thier and had it shipped to you from inside Canada.

I don’t really know. I’ve bought tons of stuff from the US and the odd thing has a ridiculous shipping price but not double to 3 times the value of the product for something so small. Shipping was all over the map from $30-$90. Had nothing to do with express vs USPS or anything either.
