LB7: Replaced injectors and now have off the wall balance rates.

I just finished replace injectors and cups. Let the truck sit for a couple of days before I added coolant to make sure cups set good. Started the truck up and checked balance rates. They are all over the place. The reason I replaced the injectors is because injector 7 show -7 and 3 showed -6. There is no smoking when running. I will include a pic of balance rates. I checked ohms on the injectors and all showed 0 I hope that is what they are supposed to show. No codes are showing up could it be a bad ficm? I am at a total loss

Did you let it warm up to operating temp?

Yes the weird thing is that 7 and 8 don't even show up

You might want to try a different scan tool in case that is the issue.

What injectors did you put in? Stock, or larger? If larger, are they VCO or SAC? Most importantly, who did you get the injectors from?

If the truck doesn't smoke or haze at idle, it could just be your current scan tool is having issues, so I'd start there.

I feel like my Edge Insight isn't always correct. I can check them, drive five miles and check them again and they are different, especially when we are running the winter blend of fuel.

It's a 2002 so tonight I changed out the ficm still no change. So I went and bought the ac Delco injector cleaner from the stealership run it through right now. I think that I might of just wasted a bunch of time and money. I put stock injectors back in it from diesel care and performance.

You've got to be by someone with efi live or a tech 2 that can help you be sure you're getting accurate readings on the balance rates?

How's it running? Smoking? Oil? Did you do a return test before?

Injectors is one area you get what you pay for. You bought ebay specials from them that they sell for less than pensacola at $927 when most everybody else is $1700 and up for a set of remans. They keep there prices down by just patching up old wore out injector cores with a set of nozzles, clean em up, and replace any other parts with pieces from cores they deemed not worth "rebuilding". My bet is you're going to find you got junk injectors. Don't feel too bad, you won't be the 1st one to learn an EXPENSIVE lesson if that is what it ends up being. But with a 1 star google rating(the lowest possible), countless problems on there facebook wall, and if you google them the 1st page is primarily sites of ripoff reports or do not buy from them, I'm gonna say junk injectors is a safe bet.

I'd suggest using a tech 2 if the stealership wouldn't mind letting you check out balance rates really quick. But, I agree the thefermanator here as well. Cheap remans never seem to pan out. But also, one of the checks that us dorks at the dealers are suppose to do is perform a compression test on engine to make sure it's actually an injector issue rather than a cylinder issue when high balance rates are viewed.
