I am wondering if anybody on here knows exactly what all I would need to do or have for my truck to remove my lift kit and go back to stock/leveled. I have an '07 Classic LBZ with the ProComp full drop 6" lift on it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dusty

i removed my fabtech 6" lift off mine when i bought it. rear is very simple, remove the lift blocks. i bought used stock ubolts and nuts from a member and new stock shocks, that it there. the front you need the remove all the drop down lift brackets and put the lower control arms back in the stock location. i bought used spindles and transfered everything over to the, wheel bearings, calipers, rotors... i had to remove my front sway bar and flip it back over and replaced the end links and front shocks. the hard part is you need find the piece of the frame that you cut and weld it back in. also the guy i sold my lift kit too we traded front diffs since you have to cut the top ear off of it

X2 on the above ^^ I did not have to cut my frame for the Tuff country 4" but I did have to cut the ear off the diff.. Cognito sells a adapter plate to replace that ear FYI......

Thanks for the info guys. So far I've figured out I need the crossmember thats cut out of the frame, the mount on the diff, which Cognito does sell, the upper a arm bumpstops and then stock stuff for the rear.

If you need the factory spindles, I still have mine sitting in the garage, and would sell cheap ;)

Mine is a full drop kit, so I still have factory spindles. Thanks though!

I could of swore that somewhere there is a company that makes that ear that is cut off the frame..

Man if I could find something like that, it would be awesome!

I also emailed Pro Comp the other night about the situation and I have yet to hear back from them.

I got the mount for the bottom of the diff from someone who was parting out a wrecked truck. Make sure you cut out way beyond what you think you will need when you chop it off the donor frame. Whoever installed the lift on my truck went a little overboard and cut way more than they needed to. Another thing to look for is make sure your bearings are good. Mine were shot after rolling around on 37's for years. There's no better time to replace them then while you have the spindles off already. I'm still working on a fix for the upper arm bumpstops, let us know what you come up with.

Thanks for the info! I haven't figured out f I want to pursue the process of finding all of the factory stuff or if I'm just going to lower the 6" down to around 4" and pull the block in the back.

I located a donor tab for the ear on the diff and had it welded back on.

There are lots of people around with all the parts you need sitting around in their garage, or ask at a shop that installs lifts if they can save you the tabs.

Sorry for the redirection.

So I'm swapping suspension with a buddy who wants to go stock. I'm assuming I can cut my truck and weld to his. Those who have done the swap/install how long does it take to do.

Install is 6-10hrs depending on your skills and tools. Double it since you are doing an R&R with two trucks. If both front dif's are in the same condition, just swap them. Cut your truck exactly where/how his was cut, so welding back together will be simple.

That's exactly what I did when I bought another dmax..I swapped diffs and used the front "ear" and crossmember. I took a little more off of the ear just to make sure I had enough, bolted passenger side of crossmember up and trimmed the ear to fit and welded it..it's kind of a pain to get in there and weld everything.

I took my lift out in one piece (front crossmembers) so it really didn't take too long but I've done lifts before.

That was my plan. I've got a couple lift carts and was going to try and swap it like a pusher axle.
