the hardest part is figuring out how to get the dash bar out of there. You have to have take the vents out. just get behind them with a flat blade and then give an easy pull. look into the holes and you will see a relase "tab" to push and then slide the bar out, both sides at the same time. The rest is pulling stuff off. there's 4 screws I think. It's been while, ICR.don't forget to take the light sensor out of the hole if you have it. Half a turn and it will drop out.

Kyle, did you paint your dash? If so what did you use? Mines peeling pretty bad it the graphite color that came in the 01-02s. My paint guys a little stumped on how he can prevent it from pealing again after its painted

No, i didn't paint it I used to be a tech. I'm not a paint guy but we did try and fix my buddies 04 SS that his dash was peeling as well. We took it off and just started peeling watching football in his living room. We put it on a tarp and got the vacuum out. After 2 cases of beer it was all black. It looks much better that way.

Thanks, I got the dash out no problem thanks for the tip on the grab bar. It had 2 small peals from the sun beating on it or whatever causes it, but then a deoderant stick melted on it and pealed a huge section off:mad:

That coating gm used to paint the dash with sucks!!!!! If you spray over the peeled part make sure to dry spray it. If it's sprayed to wet it will wrinkle the rest of it.. Def pain in the As$!!!
