What would one do about the aluminum front bushings in the cal-trac kit?

My thoughts would be to leave the bushings in the spring, drop the side plate brackets and add two large washers to take up the space.

I cant think there is any way to replace the factory bushings without buying new springs completely.

Sure you can put new bushings in. Any spring shop would be able to do it.

why not just leave the caltrac bushing in along with that slider bit that goes in so the bolt is snug? cant be that much to buy replacements...

I would think i would need to add washers to make up the space that the brackets take up now.

Otherwise wouldn't the spring want to walk side to side a bit?
