i bought my truck with the 6in lift thats on it but ive decided im tired of wearing out ball joints, cv axles, my seats from people sliding in and out and paying for tires. whats involved in removing a lift? its a procomp if that makes a difference
do you have all of the parts that were cut off from the pro comp lift? if not then it could be a real pain. i too wanted to get rid of my lift but it just wasn't worth it (since i had none of the cut off frame parts).
Now im just gonna save up, go bigger and do a SAS
Pro comp uses the factory spindles, but you need the alignment pins, the lower control arm bumpstops and some other odds and ends that get cut off.
Anybody make a replacement ear for the front Diff? Im thinking about taking my lift off as well! I think there was one piece of metal I had to take off of the stock frame as well, but cant remember.
Cool, now I just need to find the piece of the frame![]()
Thanks! Im going to hold off for now. I figured getting rid of the lift would get me into the 11's, but we found out my truck is shifting into 6th @ 3200rpm/102mph. getting rid of that shift should get me that slip.
