Looking for some advice on which direction to go. I would really like to get my truck back down to stock height for ease of use. I currently have a Fabtech 6" wide track lift that was already installed when i purchased the truck. I took the bolts all the way down on the keys and I have nearly flat CV angles. My debate is to remove the lift all together or get a set of 1-3" drop keys and lower it down until the CV's are completely flat. Checking from center of the hub to the bottom of the fender I am approx 3" higher than a stock 2500 right now. I would love to go to 265's but my rims are 9 inches wide so I will probably go to 285's from the 315's that are on the truck now. Any experience/suggestions are welcome.

Also, if i go back to stock i need to weld the ear back onto the frame. I am assuming that i can make my own with a channel and two angles to fab the mount for the diff.

I recently put the drop keys in mine. Running them half cranked it lowered my front end another 1.5"-2.0"

Cognito sells a replacement bolt-on diff ear, so all you would need to weld is the stock crossmember back in.

Hey Steve - Do you have any pics of since you lowered the front? Did you end up with negative CV angles? What tire size are you running?

Still running the 305/50's. My angles are slightly negative at rest now.

I don't think I have any pics of it yet, maybe a video from the side from this last trip to the strip. I'll look around.
