I would like to report my progress and whatnot. My truck has been running for almost a week now. Other than the fuel leak here and there, it's in good shape. I ended up getting another head from DHD. After some dealings they 2day aired me another head at their cost. Though I was leery knowing it had been decked twice and had 30k miles on it since it had been rebuilt, I was glad to see the shape it was in after as many miles. I'll admit it took some doing, but Tony, Heather and Rich with DHD came through for me and in the end kept me content. I will continue to do business with them. This thread was for technical advice and in no way should advert future business ventures with DHD. Honestly, oversights happen and we are all human. As one of the best bosses I ever had used to say "Hell, If I'm not making mistakes, that just means I'm not doing anything."

GOOD DEAL!
I'm glad to hear they came thru for you, that was an unfortunate transaction for sure. Way to stay positive through the whole ordeal, it's reassuring to see people remaining realistic, calm and level headed.

Mistakes happen!

Just curious what kind of shape were your heads in?
Mine needed all new guides in one head, one new valve to replace one that had a mysterious knick in it above the seal from somewhere, and then they just cleaned it up and checked for straightness all for under $1100 Canadian. I didn't think that was too bad.
Whoops, forgot to post up the photos.

Mine probably could have been salvaged with an aggressive deck, and a couple new valve seats (and probably guides). However, they were CA heads, and the price was sneaking up to SoCal Stage 1 heads, so I just went with the Stage 1 heads.
