Under a big a$$ rock...
If you all want to re-locate your computers to your center console... Pre-pare yourself for a shit load of work!!! There are a few special wire you have to buy for the crank shaft, cam shaft, fuel pressure and regulator feeds otherwise they will not work properly. Took me 500' of 20g, 150' 12g and a bunch of misc. Shit loads of shink tube and lots of good silver solder. Two 1" holes on the passenger and driver side for the wires and a 3/4" hole in the floor for the TCM. Been working on it for 4 weeks every night for 2-4 hours. Also, there is not enough room in there for all the computers without removing the factory sub and amp, and doing some custom trimming... I would not recommend it as GM trucks are already super sensitive to voltage and ground resistance... Worked for me but I do not recommend it! Sure makes the engine compartment look sweet though!

Fired up right away for me! Only issue is the cluster says I have water in the fuel !

Good luck for all those who care to try!

Are you running fuel in the cab for the FICM? Why did you move all that stuff? Just for looks?

can you explain more details on the special wires needed for the "crank shaft, cam shaft, fuel pressure and regulator feeds"??

Also, x2 on the pics.

I have thought about this as well but have not pursued it yet. I would love to make enough room for parallel twins but time & budget will not allow. I have put some of my thoughts down on paper. I would love to see pics as well - thanks for heads up anyhow.

I'd like to see some pictures of what you really gained from all that work . Not that I'd do it but I'm curious

As soon as I get home I will get some pictures for you guys. I removed the batteries from the engine bay as well. Its amazing how much cleaner the engine bay looks without that wiring harness. What made the space was not so much the removal of the computers but the removal of the wiring harness. Also, moving the glow plug controller to the firewall helped a lot. For the 4 sensors you need an 18-3 with a drain so that you do not get any interference. If you have dug around in your wiring harness its the yellow with the green stripe stuff. I really like it, just still unsure if it was worth the effort.
