I just purchased a 2008 LMM CC/SB with the "Regency" package. It comes with a Pro Comp lift kit, does anyone know if this is something that will hold up or just give me problems? Truck looks awesome with it.

I'm a complete idiot, so you may want to disregard what I'm saying... but the Procomp lift does not increase track width much, if at all. Infact, I almost want to guarantee that there is no track increase. You use the stock A-arms... all that really changes is a new cross member bolts on to the bottom of the existing one... some mounting geometry changes around for a few things. But everything stays relatively the same, it just gets dropped.

I'm speaking specifically about the 6" lift. Maybe its different for the others.

You might want to try and get some idler and pitman arm braces on if you can, I haven't tried even though I have a set. The 6" procomp has braces on the centerlink drop piece but I don't know how effective they are. Tie-rod sleeves would stiffen things up in the front a bit too.

Also, all of my procomp shocks went to garbage. They are mega stiff units, and the bushings got all pounded out of mine so I changed them all out to Bilstein 5125's. But I drive in horrid conditions so that more than likely was the cause.

The pro comp keeps stock track width, i dont know of any other lift kit that pro comp makes for our trucks other than a 6" lift.

and ditch the ES3000 or whatever the kit comes with unless its the MX6's those are decent

Also no braces will work with the procomp kit, except for maybe the weld-in idler brace, its because pro comp uses 2 links with heims attached to the lower cross member and to the center link. i dont think mine have ever broke, at at least from what the previous owner told me, but he has broken numerous shock brackets off but he also used it as a work truck out in the boonies on hard wash boarded gravel roads, and whatever else you can think of on a wellsite.

i think its a solid lift, the only downside is that its not very friendly for removing pieces get cut off and new ones welded on.
