Just to clarify im not doing this wrong, .. I picked up a return line fitting from DHD, graduated cylinder, and a clear hose. i started at #7. Pulled the factor return, installed the test fitting with a hose into the cylinder. unplugged the FICM, cranked for 15 seconds (or when the truck stops cranking) Didnt get a drop from the injector..i did however start pushing fuel from the (now unplugged) factory return line, 22 ml worth. Did i miss something here?

Do that for each cyl. Some return more than others and some hardly any. Just make sure you do it the same each time. I also use a battery charger as well.

Copy that, ya charger is hooked up. I'll finish the other cylinders in the morning. I got sidetracked by a faint hissing noise when I was priming. It's on the driver side somewhere. I'm tearing into it now to try and find it.

Guess I'll update this. Traded off the Silverado last year and went back to gmc. Since then added a second 18' but in a drw. Both trucks get put through the paces and I couldn't be happier. The 2500 has 65k miles, ive had it in -40° last winter without issue. It just had a whole new exhaust put in, and numerous trips for updates. But nothing serious. The 3500 is at 45k miles and has a cupping issue up front I'm dealing with..(I suspect shocks) .other then that they have been great. Here's a few pics of them. I'm finally going to get around to the 05 this winter..hopefully

Started ordering parts for the regular cab tonight, hopefully get the basic stuff. Truck is headed to the body shop in a couple weeks, getting some basic piping issues handled from some members on here. Looks like ill be going with 100 over injectos, adding a lift pump, and headstuds next month.

As of today.
Truck - paid 3800.00
after convincing the guy it had a bad piston and shot transmission. Wouldnt fire, slammed into every gear, range shift prohibited flashing. plus some codes. New nsbu switch fixed the shifting problem, compression test checked out normal, however the injectors are shot.
New Headlights ...................... 95.00
New LED FiberOptic tail lights ...237.00
New LED FiberOPtic 3rd Break....82.00
New Non Tow LED Mirriors.........231.00
Used Edge CT2 Insight..............380.00
New Airdog 4g 200gpm.............770.00
Used Y bridge, turbo intake pipe 150.00
New NSBU Switch.....................78.00
New LBZ Regulator....................130.00
New Caltracs............................400.00
New suncoast ram air hood........600.00
Race plug.................................free

..............................Total.........6953.00 as of 9/10/19

The bed will be coming off this weekend for the lift pump, fuel pickup, and caltracs.

Short term goal is to get the body work done, get it painted, and replace the injectors (probably 150 overs). I dont think i will be doing a scsb just yet. Ill post up some pics along the way.

I like those style tail lights.

We both are all in on regular cab projects right now.

I’m just afraid to add up what I’ve spent. Lol

Haha ya, I'm trying to get it running good this fall..transmission will be a winter project. I would really like to do it myself but it scares the hell out of me. As for the turbos, I really liked how the twins acted on my last 05, I'll probably go that route..maybe this winter, fingers crossed.

I did some searching. Where did you get those lights at?

Did you ever figure out your no start issue? I'm curious because this spring I put a new motor in a Kodiak that was jerry-rigged together and had a similar issue. It would fire up on ether and run for about 30 seconds and then quit. Without ether it wouldn't fire at all and after a couple days of trouble shooting I figured out that the guy that had owned the truck before had installed a knock off fuel rail plug and it wasn't sealing. It wasn't letting much past the plug into the return but it was enough to piss the truck off. We changed the rail and that plug and it fixed the whole issue. If you're still having that issue that may be something to look at. Can't wait to see what you do with the truck!

im pretty confident its the injectors, 2 of them are returning a bucket of fuel while its cranking. I am going to throw in a plug this week if i get time....Because i dont swear enough i guess:cool:
