Has one ever made it to the 12's? I know 6 speeds with transgos have.

Anyone know the record off hand? I've got One or two race weekends before I head to MD to see George. Might as well go for broke:cool2:

I hit 13.5 at 94 last night but I think she has just a little more left in her

Well I already hit a 13.5. I know with just a trans tune adjustment I could pull a little more out of her then add some more power in the ECM tune and get a little more. I could see 13.2-3 happening. I just don't know if that's been done before.

And and I can still shed about another 150ish lbs pretty easy too

There's a guy here local that has ran a 13.2 on a stock 5 speed lb7. He keeps it limited to 4th gear though. I'm not sure how many times he has run that but I have seen it run.

Five years ago, I had ran ~13.9 @ 100 with a stock trans and it limped on the fifth pass. But it was 2wd with lousy 60' times. This was way before EFILive though.

They limp on the 4-5 shift normally, so keeping it in 4th longer will increase it's holding capacity. I've been shifting higher ever since EFILive gave us Allison support to hold more HP and clean up the shifts.

Like you said, that upshift is what brings out the limp. However, I find on mine, that holding that extra second or two in 4th usually gets me a 1093. Gonna try and run it this week before I put the lift pump on, see what a tune only (EFI) will get me... :D

I had a guy run 13.1 in ABQ (tough track) on a stock 5 speed. It was a race tune for a built motor and this was just before he had built his trans and motor. He had to lift to keep it from limping to get there. It was kind of a freak truck though so who knows. I also had a tcm tune in it to try to help. H may have hit a 12 if he could have been a lot lower alt. Never got to try again becaue the motor and trans came out shortly after to do a full build. If your at 13.5s I would say 13.2-13.3 is as fast as you will get out of it though. Dont pop your motor trying for it. You will pick up quite a bit of time just having the trans built so just wait.

well i dont think i should have to worry about popping the motor as the tune im on now isnt even that close to a max effort stock turbo tune. its about 2500PW@160MPA and 100mm3 and about 25* timing at 3800 and 110mm3

You will need to loose a lot of weight, and get stellar traction to get near your goal.

You trap speed tells the tale. You will need to be 99mph at leeast to show a 12sec slip.

Guys I'm not going for a 12 lol. My stock trans has been on it's way out for a very long time and limped at least 50 times easy. That's why my mph and et don't match I don't have anything left of 5th gear and pretty much coast from the 1000' on.

I'm just figuring since I'm going for the build in about 2 weeks might as well go for broke and see if I can set the record. Seeing is it's at least 13.1 I don't see it happening but I will make one or 2 all out passes just for giggles.

And as for weight the truck is at 6420 without me in it I think that's pretty decent considering its an LT and fully loaded. I can loose another 150 or so though
