Rebuilding gt and gtx turbos

What do you think between the s472 or s475?
X2, I wouldn't waste the money on those over priced turbos! Not a rebuildable turbo and you have to buy a new cartridge if you have any issues with them. No better time to switch them out for a more cost effective unit. Wish I could help with the Garrett's but when it comes to the ball-bearing units your hosed unfortunately.

Call Gillette in Utah I have spoken to them in the past and they will rebuild Garrett BB turbos...

This is very true but much more cost effective to work with Borg's. Garrett Chargers are waaay over priced imo.

I understand that but he already has the Garretts and the plumbing for them. I would be very surprised if he could swap to Borg turbos and plumbing for less than new center sections or as Paint mentioned Gillette rebuilds.

Thank you, I'll give him a call. From what I'm being told the gt stuff can be rebuilt the gtx stuff is the issue. The new center section is just over 2k.

If it comes to it I'll prob go with a billet s475, it's bs that you have to buy a whole center cartridge. I'm still exploring my options at this point. Thank you though

If at all possible stay with the Garretts you with be way happier with how the perform over the Borg trust me
