recently put DHD's spool and axles in my puller and before I fill it with fluid would it be even worth it to get an aftermarket diff cover? if so what one would be best? thanks

I bought a danville cover, mainly for looks. Fit awesome and just makes the rear of the truck look complete!
I wouldn't think there's any reason to unless your going for looks, on a basic cover that is... Really dont need a bigger cover as your not running so long added fluid would help as far as keeping cool. would Some of the fancy covers have a pretty cool little idea about them though. Ill try and find out what my buddy has. His cover has studs that run through pressing down on the differential caps. So it's spreading extra holding power out all the little cover bolts.
I think Paul leet had a cover from the same company, I don't remember his username on here though
This is the only one I know of that makes a cover for 11.5 that has the girdle bolts in the cover.

That's exactly what I'm lookin for I know the car guys use em to strengthen their rear ends a sheet metal cover can only do so much thanks for input guys
Here is our rear with the LPW cover and their rear truss kit. Quality stuff, could be heavier for our purposes, though. Just finished the homemade bottom truss wed night. 2" square tube, 1/8' wall. I would have made our own rear one too, but was pressed for time mid season last year.

Not to hijack the theard but Is there a gasket for the rear end cover or do you guys just use a good rtv Silicone?
I just use silicone, but you can get a gasket for them as we'll. The Mag-hytech cover has a O-ring in the cover.
When it's just a cover (holding fluid in), a gasket works well and is usually easier to deal with when changing, but when the cover becomes structural I would go with a sealant allowing the cover to make direct contact with the pumkin face where possible for strength/rigidity.
