Can the 01-10 trucks use the newer style rear bumpers? My rear bumper rusted to the point where steel part in the middle ripped out. I was debating put a roll pan on, but I need to beable to get up in the bed easily, and corner steps are starting to sound appealing with age.

You can, and they actually look pretty good. A buddy of mine has done it on a couple of trucks, and I have one I plan on putting on my 06.

I did this on my wife's 08 LMM and looks awesome!!! Definitely a great upgrade for the older trucks, the backup sensors though... That is a whole other issue with it lol.

Due to my hitch the brackets that came with the bumper didn't work even if I raised them up and drilled new holes. So I cut off the back part that bolts to the bumper, then I was bolted my existing bumper brackets to the other half of the bracket using existing bolt holes. You will need to drill 2 holes and notch the top of the original bracket so you can tie in the step reinforcements properly. I used a eBay 1500 bumper that wasn't exactly the greatest quality, so you might have some different results if you use OE parts.
