Were you towing on all 2 lanes? All interstate? Why 70. Try slowing down or don't complain. I'm not being a smart ass, I have an LBZ. I get 9.8 average going from Va to Co or Va to Ok on Interstates, (about 60 miles is 2 lane) hauling a 31 ft Arctic Fox and grossing 19,000 lb. I drive 67 and the will move btwn 5 and 6 a lot locked. I usually manually down shift it at 2500 but watch tran temp. I am going Va-Ok to Divide Co in May. I know where I have to buy fuel, I carry 100 gal and buy as much as I can outside Co. and NM. Try running the truck like I do. Chevy built the Allison to take it and Duramax Engines will do well above 2500.
Wtf are you going on about???

I don't know where half of you are getting these numbers, either my truck is a pile of shit, or you guys live in the flat lands.
I cannot get over 16 no matter what. Did good to get 10 towing my camper. I did get 19 mpg with 12k miles and a 32" tire in South Carolina.
I can agree with you on this, I don't know how people always get better than me.. This is my L5p over the last 6 tanks or so and others been seeing 3,4,5 more miles to gallon than this..I don't know where half of you are getting these numbers, either my truck is a pile of shit, or you guys live in the flat lands.

Yep, you're a flat lander, my trucks would hold up a lot better If I had more of those roads to drive on
