So im im a debate with myself. Should i pull all my cups and reseal them? Or leave them as is in the head? None of the cups came out when i pulled my injectors and never had any issues with them popping up and leaking in the last 165k. I did have guy pressure test my heads with the cups in so dont know if that would affect them. Im just afraid ill pop them out and reseal them but not have them seal all the way once i put them back in. Then there again, my luck if i left them alone ill pop a cup the first hard run. Whats do you guys do?

X2. RESEAL James. PITA, but worth it. Clean the bottoms where the cup seal in the heads with some plumbers brushes (heavy duty and aggressive and use a flash light to see in there to make sure all the old stuff is gone), and same with the bottom sealing area of the cup itself. Use some 272 loctite and sleep good.

Funny you would ask this i've been running the same question through my mind. I'm afraid if I mess with them I will start having issues but on the same note i'm afraid if I don't I will have issues.

This dilemma confuses me, they must come out to mill the heads anyway. Wouldn't planing the heads be a normal step in any build or a given any time the heads come off given the (ab)use most get? Or am I off base?

Im glad you started this thread. I just went out and pulled mine and with how easy they came out I'm glad I did. I was thinking after 170,000 they wouldn't want to come out.

My machine shop did mine and pressure tested after. Cheap insurance.

Guy tested my heads as well but dont think he tested the cups. could be wrong though.

No prob. i did a quick search and didnt find much so figured id post up. Id assume the dealer resealed the cups when i had injectors done at 100k but there again, i dont trust anything they do. Specially after what i found missing and loose on my motor

Here's the thing I've found James. Any time the cups are disturbed at all, they can leak. Loosening the injector clamps and lifting the injector usually can let the hardened sealant crack around the cup base where it seals, then you can stick a fork in them cause their done.
