no worries, its soooo easy to get them mixed up/so confusing the way GM set things up, there are many oddball combos out there...

D@mn it! My truck is less rare now. It will be rarer again soon. I know they didn't offer the Allison I'm putting in it.
all depending on how you drive it. my buddy shifts his manually b/c otherwise it's a slush box going through the gears.
from what i hear the 5sp is the way to go.

maybe this weekend. gotta see if i can borrow the money first. truthfully i'm tired of driving my truck every day and dealing with the BS. not to mention i can save myself almost $150 bucks a week in fuel.

The 5spd maunal is like hens teeth, real rare and pricy here but i may know where one is cuz i want one in my SD! There autos are pretty decent if cared for but im a manual guy!

Hmmm... My uncle collects old Benz diesels and restors them He has 8 of them right now I believe. They are pretty sweet

If it means you can keep the d-max I would say yeah seel the cummins. I have no doubt the RCSB Cummins would be bad to the bone but the d-max is so much closer to finished.
ha well i went and talked to him and he says he's gonna think about it, we's got my old 67 c-10 he's trying to finish and he wants to get that done first soo close!!!

small update. i finally got to get back to work on this thing. i got the motor sitting in the chassis under it's own weight, made a trans mount and manaaged to get the cab over it. i've marked out what needs to be cut on the cab so maybe i'll get to that this weekend. i broke my foot sunday so it'll be fun gimping around.
