Posting this for a buddy of mine. He s got a 2014 stock lol and he is saying when he gets down to a 1/4 tank or when he fills it up he notices a raw fuel smell coming in his vents in the cab. He can also smell raw fuel from under the hood around the primer valve but doesn’t appear to be loose and can’t pin point it. He s in Az so I know it’s dry weather out there. Truck is stock btw..

He has not checked that. But he said it is spraying like a mist when bleeding nitrous and coming in his vents and has to switch to recirculate. When he opens the hood he cannot see where it is spraying from. Sounds odd too me.

Has he tried priming it with the truck off to see if its bleeding around the filter head? All look for the connection around the indirect injector try power braking it and have someone look carefully so as to make sure it is low side low pressure fuel mist not high side high pressure fuel leaking. hopefully something simple if the filter head is leaking merchant auto offers a nice rebuild kit a lot cheaper than the dealer for replacement just did mine about a month ago :thumb:

Has he checked the 9th injector?

Ditto, i bet the 9th is leaking. I've experienced the same issue. have him pull his pass. fender liner and look at the down pipe where the 9th injector threads in. Most likely will see signs of fuel leaking.

Only thing that worries me is will there be evidence or will pressure need to be applied like power braking to see it coming from the indirect injector nozzle fitting did yours leak internally dribbling or externally Rob? I could see where the small quick connect leaking up by the solenoid would leak if not seated correctly but I have yet to see one leaking at the (7/8) 22mm fitting not saying it can't happen but just would shock me that's a pretty sturdy piece that ties in the downpipe?

Mine was leaking externally, you could see it on the down pipe. It's supposed to leak in the exhaust, that's it's job, lol.

True it is but it's not suppose to dribble once the solenoid is commanded off by the ecm after a completed regen it should stop flowing I usually see more p0430 low effeiceny catalyst code associated with the indirect injector being soot plugged or failure to reach regen temps. Yours, Rob and possibly the op are the first I've heard of leaking externally not saying it cant happen but defiantly a first for me :thumb:

Mine started leaking around 80k miles. It only happened during a regen and I just tossed the idea out there. Because it could just start a regen near a 1/4 tank if it sees the same drive regularly. I thought mine was the fuel filter at first, but after filter replacement I found it.
