Fella's I was told this was addressed, I searched and I failed.
I have an 06 LBZ and after running for a while and stopping I have a raw diesel fuel smell both outside the truck and inside. I check the lines and there are no leaks and the fuel economy has not suffered. I am running lift pumps (Kennedy) and EFI live.
Any guidance?
Thanks

No leak at the filter housing, some residue.
Exhaust is normal.
Fuel smell stronger on drivers side, which leads me to believe rubber fuel lines around the tank.

Check your oil level is it over full? Sounds like a injector went south. Check balance rates and do a bottle test. Check the fuel lines and look in the valley of the motor to see if it dry. Let me know

Inspect your return lines, the plastic T's that feed the returning fuel from the injector to the main return line can crack and leak...

So after a real good inspection this is what I found
Balance rates good
return lines intact
Block dry, except by the filter housing.
So I went back to the filter head housing.
After I got off the hiway and could smell fuel I stopped, popped the hood and checked the filter head housing.
There was clear (non-dirty) fuel seeping on top of the housing. I quick rebuild and now it's all good.
Thanks for the suggestions :thumb:
