I guess this is why the tie rods wasn't taking much grease the last couple of go arounds, the nipple was messed up some how and I never really paid attention. Thankfully I had just gotten off of the interstate and was in a neighborhood only doing 25ish. Steering had been a bit funky rough road for the last couple of days, I was going to give it the once over this weekend, but I guess it wanted it sooner. Thankfully I was able to hammer back on to limp it the 3/4 of mile home.

I think these are a mass relabeled in part, I ordered Dmax stores ones as a replacement since they where cheaper and they look the same to me, I will see when I get them.
i have dmax stores. they are different. 2 separate replaceable tie rods and the center is a very large threaded tubing type. each tie rod end is 45 bucks to replace and the reasoning why i bought them. so they are 3 piece. the unit about is 2 pieces.

You have there high end ultimate ones, they have a option thats cheaper that appears to be the same as there rare parts one. I will compare when i get the other set off.

Mods (Tom haha) may be a good idea to separate this discussion into it's own thread as it seems to contain at least a little bit of good information about tie rods and not necessarily "seriously" content

If that's true, then I assume that means you are SOL if you need to replace and just an inner or an outer as you'll now have to buy a complete matched set...unless someone else offers them. I wonder how many other people are in the same boat. I have the rare parts racing set (like the failed one in the picture), but hoping mine lasts (definitely going to make sure it keeps getting greased).

lol what a life i tell yea. ill probably just go back to stock and sleeve them to be honest. that was the whole reasoning of buying them was how easy it would of been to replace the inner or outers.

PPE Stage 3 tie rods are holding up nice after more than a year. Towing my big 5er and driving faster than I should on fire roads in 4WD. I grease every oil change (5K miles).
