Has anyone tried this out yet? I have a Moog that's getting due for replacement.

Thanks,
Wally

I also have a shim and Belleville washer to allow me to run my Cognito Brace with it.

Hopefully I'll get it on and some pics soon.

For now...

What Moog pitman arm do you have? I recently changed out my k6554 Moog arm and upgraded to the K6554HD version. I took the old one back to the auto part store and had them change it to the HD style, just had to pay the price difference for the upgraded style. The HD seems to work well so far.

I'm sure it was the non-HD. They didn't have that back when I swapped out the stock.

How's that steering box working out for you?

I will be curious to see how the feedback is with the Rare Parts Pitman Arm. The part looks to be well built. This is something that has been in great need for the Duramax Trucks.

Steering box is a day and night difference. I took a beating on it this weekend by getting stuck in mud pits, still works like new and keeps it straight.

You can exchange your Moog non HD to an HD version by paying the price difference of what you paid for your non HD. Mine was only a 50 buck difference.

It looks to me like it certainly will. AFAIK the DHD brace mounts to the underside of the pitman and idler where it attaches to the drag link. So this looks like it would not get in the way.

Any feedback from anybody that has installed either pitman, idler or both? Just installed the tie rods and love them, time will tell how the hold up.

Yea, I've heard their XD tie rods are. They don't list the rare parts idler/pitman arms though. Going to be replacing everything up front soon, just trying to get my list together.

I haven't had it in long enough to really give meaningful feedback. I'll follow up after some more abuse... err miles.

Ive had my rare parts pitman/ idler arm and tire rods on for about a year now.
Everything is solid as a rock even with several 4wd launches.
