First it was FOOKING COLD. The highs in the afternoon were in the low 40's, at night when we started, it was low 30's or colder. Hence why I'm suited like Frosty the Snowman. After 60 miles I decided to let the motorcycle ride me for a change of pace, and messed up my leg. Finished the last 340 miles in the dirt with an injured leg. I hit hard enough to bruise my head through the helmet.
Robert and I rode together (another Dmax guy, member of this board), saved my ass many times. He has serious talent on a bike.
His wife Jenn and Kat drove Duramaxes as the chase trucks. Could not have done it without them.
My bike was a KTM 500. Rules required a street legal bike (BLM made the rules) so I could not ride my KTM 300, which was a better tool for the job. Robert rode the Kawasaki 400 Enduro.
Got home, leg got worse. Found it was infected. Sucks. Just starting to recover now.
Would I do it again? Yeah daddy.
