Well last night Kansas decided to bless us with 30Kts winds and A lot of rain/Hail... Heard it all coming down and was up until 4 a.m. well woke up about 10 o'clock am and first thought to my mind was o f*** my windows were down. so ive unbolted all the seats and am looking at how exstensive the rain water was center concole had a nice puddle of water and the passenger side had a nice river in the door sill. Most of the water seemed to stay to that side and now im rolling around ideas as what to do to get rid of all the mositure.. called a shop and the wanted 800 for cleaning and replacing the insulation pad (He says it wont get dry) so i tried using a heat gun and multiple towels to no avail... any other suggestions or places where I can find a carpet kit for the truck ?

I would get a couple of those "driez air" de humidifier thingys (not sure if the name is right) and set them In the cab with the windows up for the weekend, you will need to drain them every 24 hrs, the things I am talking about work awesome, try to get it as dry as possible first, then take it to get cleaned if need be, and de humidify it again afterward cuz more than likely they will be using moisture of some sort wether it be in cleaning solution, water or both....not that I advocate for the place, but you should be able to find the product I am talking about at wal mart, or a home improvement store

appreciat that ill look into that. Unfortunatly the jute padding was way to we to get dry even with the de humidifier but ill definatly stick those things in there once it all cleaned i opted to have the insulation replaced and my carpets needed cleaning anyway so this finally pushed me to do it. hopefully itll get all the stains out. Thanks again for the info.

Pull the carpet yourself and hang it to dry. Put a fan on it.

Well I got the truck back today and i must say what a waste of 300$ dont get me wrong its show room clean now but the thing that bothered me the most was that they didnt clean the head liner and they had the audacity to put a sticker on it with there company on my window.. I could see where they simple wiped their finger to place the sticker some nerve. The place i took it to is one of the bigger detailing places in wichita and they have a full service line for washing/ detailing but they didnt bother to wash the outside of the truck or anything. For $300 you would think they would have at least washed the dang thing and actually shined up the interior plastics but no minimal work done. Need less to say ill be going there today to address my unsatisfation with there company even if I dont get another cleaning or money back point in case if your a company that specailizes in such work take pride in your work and do what should be done not the bare minimum.

Take old newspaper and stuff it between the layers. That is what I do. Usually my drivers side is really wet after the winter season and full of salt residue. Keep in mind that truck interiors are meant for that kind aof abuse. If it happens too much I am sure it will damage it. I always like driving around and seeing how many minivans have the back windows open during the rain!

TX of course
Vehicles ain't made to be filled up with water. If you don't at least pull out the carpet and jute to dry it will mold. I've never had luck with just fans or dehumidifiers.

You could try some Marine Dehumidifier packs. You just smash them under the carpet and the powder absorbs all your moisture. They are built to keep everything dry without mildew down below in the bilge or salon/galley/berths. They work fantastic!:thumb:

pull that sticker off and shove it up their ass

Forgot to mention that during there cleaning they threw away the wiring to my subs. Wasnt very happy about that either but i went back today and told them about their mistake and thankfully they still had it.Still not sure what possessed them to take out the wiring in the first place . But i also explained to them that i was suprised they didnt clean the headliner and they were quick to jump on that for no charge. And in case i havent stated before I had them replace the Jute padding beneath the carpet. The damage wasnt that exstensive put i just wanted to be sure that it was taken care of properly so no mildew here.

And thanks everyone for the suggestions and if god forbid should it happen again i will try them prior to taking the exspensive route
