I'm wanting to upgrade my radio in my 04', but I have the steering wheel mounted controls for the stock radio. My question is that will these controls still work with an aftermarket radio? I hate to put in a new radio and the controls on the steering wheel not work, I've grown accustomed to them.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Yes, if you get the extra interface between the steering wheel controls and the aftermarket radio. I have a friend that works at Crutchfield and he can point you in the right direction. Let me know if you would like his contact information.

That would be great. I would like to know what I need to get to make sure it works correctly.

Thanks again.

I've been researching Crutchfield's website and noticed that some radios are made for the steering wheel controls and some are not. I will continue to check it out. Thanks for the info.

what you should do is swap steering wheels with me.

mine doesnt have the buttons. no need to bother with the extra parts :D

This is the first truck I have owned that had the controls in the steering wheel. They are really convenient. I use them more than I thought I would.
