Racor fuel filter and o ring

Is it just me or do any of you notice when Using the racor filter the o ring never fits? Frustrating cause its too small and will get pinched or cut. Supposedly a great filter but damn o ring. I was thinking about switching to a donaldson P550833.

Vary odd. I believe Racor use to make GMs filters.

I have used Racor fuel filters for over 460,000 miles and have had no issues with the o-ring. Racor makes the TP 3018.

luber finer lff 6012 has served me flawlessly never had and issue as mentioned above next time try a light coat of engine oil before install:thumb:

I've only used Racor for that last 10+ years. I do notice that the O ring doesn't "stick" to the filter but just lays there. If not positioned correctly and not bumped while installation it goes just fine.

As mentioned, it does help to oil them

Strange, yeah every racor filter i have had the oring didnt fit very well. Last filter change did the same thing so i used oring that came off the truck, not racar and it fir great so idk.
