What style shifters can we use for a Allison 5 speed? The guy that did my roll cage wants to do a 8 point cage, repair the rear bars to the frame after the bed cage gets done, and put in a Precision shifter, but I was not sure how it operated.
On a PCS controlled 48RE dodge trans, that isn't a problem, but we have a 5 speed. Is it as simple as adjusting the cable play/throw?
This is the shifter we are looking into. I have no plans to put a 48re in the truck, keeping the Allison for 9's.
I really only need P-R-N-D. Don't care about 1-2-3
