So this is regarding a 2006 lbz. A month and a half ago I went and looked at this truck for a friend. It takes alot of brake pedal effort to keep the truck stopped. Also it had a weird squealing noise at that time. I'm not a transmission expert but fluid level was good condition looked good. So I told him take it to a transmission shop and see what they say.
Both shops said no codes no issues and one serviced the trans fluid and filter...
Anyways with foot on the brakes now it still takes alot of effort. It slams into gear kinda hard. The power steering pump is bran new so hydro boost is getting proper pressure. I did notice the PID in trans data one for NM of torque output from the engine was over 300 comparing to my truck which is also an lbz it's only around 160 and very little effort to keep the truck stationary.
I recorded a 2 YouTube videos showing transmission data and shifting from reverse to drive. It's hard to see how much the truck jerks but u can see the rpm flare when I come out of drive to natural or reverse to natural.
Personally I think the torque convertor is failing but would like some input from other. And if anyone else has had this issue.
The truck does shift good going down the road. Torque convertor slippage is low and is same as much truck usally under 10 when driving down the road.
Anyways some input would be great. Thank you for your help
