Questions about first Allison

So, this is my second diesel, but my first with the dmax/alli combo. I was just wandering what the feel of the stock trans was like. Compared to other trucks i've had the shifts feel super firm. Especially after accelerating hard from a stop. You def know when its shifting. Just wandering if this was normal or if there's possibly something not right or something else (kit from a previous owner?)

Whos kit? Most built Alli's don't shift hard.

don't know if there is a kit..just wandering if that was a possibility cuz a lot of built trans i've seen do shift hard. just wandering what the alli is supposed to feel like cuz i've never had one

Mines built and shifts pretty soft by most peoples standards except when I'm getting on it.
