question about painting tow mirrors

Is it worth the trouble of taking the mirrors apart to paint them? Or do most of you guys just extend the sliders and paint them? I'm going to have mine painted this weekend and just trying to decide if I should take them off a day or two early and take them apart.

I saw that. I assume you take the 07.5-10 apart the same way?

Well I ended up taking the mirrors apart and it wasn't to bad. The worst part is that torx screw underneath the small mirror. What a bitch to get at lol. Anyhow I did break the little plastic piece that holds the end piece over the fork (as seen in picture). So does anyone know where I can get one? I'm trying to super glue it but you know how that goes.

GM part# 19168561 is for the LEFT/DRIVER SIDE mirror

GM part# 19168562 is for the RIGHT/PASSENGER SIDE mirror

I have a 07.5 drivers mirror with bad glass of u need it. Just pay shipping and u can have whole mirror. Signal and everything still works. Some dick smacked it and cracked both glass pieces.
