That's a good right up. If I were to use a catch can instead of venting, how big would it need to be if I am draining every oil change?

The bigger the better, mine has very little oil in it. If your engine has lot of miles or has some other internal issues you might see more than normal amounts of oil in the catch can.

I've always just been looking for a clean way to do it. I dont like the way most guys run the hoses

I ran mine the way dhd does. http://dirtyhookerdiesel.com/files/pcv_instructions.pdf

One 5/8 from each valve cover, routed together and up behind the turbo mouthpiece, zip tied together and turns down near the fuel filter, and routed them just down the frame. No drips or anything that i've seen. Easy 15 minute job.

I had a catch can on my gasser, but didn't see the need on the dmax since it can be run open which I know upsets the greenies. Many people have success with the CC

I'm not "greenie" or a "tree hugger" more of a Euell Gibbons type of guy. I not only hug the tree I eat it as it is edible......

Hahahaha nice one! for the record, I wasn't directing that at you, just a generalization of some drivers preferences. Whatever keep the gunk away is the right move

I have a approximately 1 litre cc I pulled of a turbo car. Would that be enough volume.

I hope I don't vent that much between oil changes.

no idea, I didn't want any potential complications from restricting the crankcase ventilation which is why I left mine open. Mike (c20) is well thought out though, copy his setup.
