Wait till they work the bugs out of the ignition system before you do... constantly having misfire issues...

Its an ISX 11.9L CNG setup.

You're correct that the ignition system is picky, but just keep the plugs clean and don't finger them after cleaning. Best way to install plugs IMO is with a magnetic socket, none of that dirty rubber crap.

I'm fairly impressed with them for the most part... we run a6 sled 5th gen Allison 4000 behind them, pulls 88K just like it's diesel cousin...

Ah ok I was thinking 11.9 for a reason haha.

What kind of range does it have? The trucks I've dealt with had an enclosed cab behind the drivers cab to hold the tanks. I assume you have a few good CNG stations in the area?

We run ones with a 150 pack behind the cab and another setup with two 45 side tanks and a120 pack behind the cab. Get about 5-6mpg average. Can go a little over 500 miles on a warm day. We actually have our own station with a hydraulic compressor. Depending on the weather it can do almost 4300psi. We do all fast fills

The CNG engines are pretty interesting, fuel system, ignition and turbocharger is basically the only difference from an external view.

That's not bad. Have you figured in your fuel costs after compression? IIRC a temp compensated fast fill can be 4600. What brand compressor/drive system do you have? An Ariel JGP would probably fill that truck from empty in about 20min with no storage tanks.

They went with a very interesting piston design compared to the ISL-G. Kind of reminds you of a diesel piston in an old Deere. Has a smaller hole in the top with a good sized internal bowl, compared to the rather open design with ramps on the B/C/L series.
