I thought they were, but I wasnt sure about things like VATS, tow/haul, tap shifter, gauges, and so on. Sometimes something as simple as just an a/c turn on can drive you nuts.

GM is extremely consistent; they never really change things unless they HAVE to. Even the databus messages and structuring is mostly the same, as long as you're talking about the same "era". IE the GMLAN messages for tach, speedo, crank request, etc on a 2010 Camaro are the same as an 07.5+ pickups etc.

Thats why 03-07 shares an identical electrical system (regardless of gas, diesel, LB7, lly, lbz), 11-14 LMM LML shares the same system, SUV's and pickups share the same system, etc...

And I was winding about the engine mounts, do I need the LMM or use the LML engine mounts for this? I did notice that the engine mounts on LML are straight across from each where as the frame mounts are off set a little bit, been search forms and finding people talking about butting LMM in LML truck but no mention of engine mounts? Thanks again for all info guys, I greatly appreciate it!

I know theres some differences between puckups and suv's as far as vats goes from seeing what all is involved in doing an gmt-900 duraburb(word is you have to disable vats or else they will not stay running). Don't know this 1st hand, just what everybody who's done one has said. Thats why I wasn't sure about the 10 to 11 differences.

So I got the erg delete done, new up pipe and new pope down pipe on, new intake bridge with resenator delete and pvc reroute done too. Engine is ready to go in! After doing a some measuring I ended up putting the LMM engine mount on the LML, it was only way I figured it all to line up with fame mounts.
Decide to just go ahead and switch everything thing out to all the 2011 stuff, so that way everything electronically in can and out and engine trany and tcase will all be 2011.
Got dash out and started taking wiring harness out last night. I want to put the navagation system in the truck, originally truck just had regular radio but the 11 the wiring harness came out of had the nav radio, just all the ones I look at say they only work for 2009 and up? Is that cause the wiring in 07 and 08 or is it the radio mounts? It looks like it should mount in there, just hate to spend 400 on nav system and it not mount in there! I will try to post pics if I get service here at work tonight! And I plan on working on it in the morning once I get off if I get some good sleep at work! Got to love working night shift with no bosses around!

I did the TNR upgrade to my 03 (did my wife's Yukon as well) way back when, you had to add the amp from a Escalade / Denali, re pin the amp harness etc etc.

I would never ad in dash NAV again. I always use my iPhone / iPad. Use Google maps.

The GM NAV from my generation uses a DVD for the map data. The only way to get an updated map, is to buy a new DVD. Pretty pricey.

Not sure if you have to ad it because of your harness, or not but just my .02, but it was not worth it for me.

Im pretty sure thats because the typical "30 minute relearn" doesnt really work on GMT-900's from what ive found. Well, it works to relearn keys, but it doesnt work to learn the TDM (theft deterrent module) to the ECM or BCM.

You need GM TIS2WEB access and a Tech 2/MDI to do the proper relearn/marrying process.

Alright it has been a while since I posted an update on this thing! As of now, I got the 11 wiring harness in the cab all switched out, ran into problem with brakes, so I got to get the new ebcm and abs pump and a newer master cylinder, that is one thing they changed from 07 to 11!
Ended up having to pull cab off to get engine tranny and t case in! It goes in so much easy with the cab off! Wanted to make sure the LMM motor were going to work before I bought some new ones, and they do, so now I waiting on them to come in!
I in the process of trying to selling all the extra parts off the old LMM and the extras stuff I got from the LML to buy some more goodies for this thing! So if anyone now anyone interested in anything let me know! I got a thread in the for sale thread too! Thanks for the comments guys, this project will get done sometime!! And I will post some more pics! Everyone loves pictures!

Thanks Josh

I figured I would update this since it has been awhile! As of now I got all the interior back together with all the 11 stuff installed, everything is switched over and truck was ready, I ordered tunes from Tony at ridgerunner(fast shipping and good to work with) very happy so far, will be happier with tunes once I get truck running I am sure! So I primed the fuel system and bleed air out, went to start it and it just kept cranking never would try to start. Hooked up scanner and it wasn't building enough rail pressure to start, tried bleeding air out of lines, checked for it sucking air, could find anything, then today I was working on it and unnoticed it was leaking fuel out somewhere, looked like it was coming from between head and the block, so I started taking passenger side up pipe loose from exhaust manifold and about a half a gallon of diesel and some oil came out :/ so I took out the glow plugs and #1 cylinder was broke off and the injector tip was broke or burnt off too. So I getting a bore scope tomorrow to look and see if the piston has a hole or walls are messed up. I hoping not, but I guess we will see! Never know what ya are going to get when ya buy a Used engine! I hoping just an injector and a glow plug will fix it, which is better then my first thought, which was the cp4 exploded and messed up all injectors! Still would like to do a different injector pump so I don't have to worry about this, any in put on which ones are good?
