If you have the capability to weld aluminum or know someone who does you can have it welded to the y-bridge. Probably the most cost effective and reliable solution.

^^Thats two great suggestions If you just cant swing the $$ for the full set up. I put my egr back on while i saved my pennies for the full setup.

Fwiw in retrospect I would have done what Adam did and blocked the factory pipe and retained my gridheater..

I didn't have any problems with my Profab EGR delete pipe at stock charge boost. It's just now that I'm in the low 40's. I thought the strap would stop blow out completely once I get it seated right? No?

1/4" plate forma gasket and some longer m8 bolts done.. It will get replaced late with 3" high flow variant. Used 3/8" plate to cap the up pipe

I'd like to give a redo of the factory a shot first; what can I say - glutton for punishment.

I have McMaster-Carr nearby. They offer a ton of "upgraded" o-rings for this.

What do you guys think will be the best bet? X-ring? 4 groove, 8 groove, square??

in the rain, under an umbrella... fixed :happy2:

I ran it up to about 30psi with no leaks. I think I'll keep the tune and boost low until I can buy a used ybridge or something. But at least my DD is ready for DD again :)

I wonder if anyone has experimented with upgraded orings and such to get it to hold 45psi all day long?

I jsut read about a guy that criss-crossed two 4" hose clamps and held 65psi for 10,000mi and counting. I could try that. I know it's "Urban Enterprise Engineering" but I reaaaaly don't want to spend the money to upgrade it, lol. I'll just blow time and money avoiding it and then having to do it in the end anyway right, :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

as long as I am using a hose clamp and some empty promises... I thought I'd give you all a bigger laugh and share my "creation" today.

I scrounged the garage to cobble together something to test the system for boost leaks. Not wanting to spend $50 on a used insert, and not really feeling confident about pvc cap, I found a dirt cheap Harbor Freight solution in my toolbox, :roflmao:

Pressure tested to 40psi without any leaks :happy2:

My current leak is in the mouthpiece, and I have Mark's improved clamp sitting here waiting to go on. Oh, and the OEM airbox is going to need replacement. Each time I whack the throttle, my new airfilter shows that it's in need of changing on the "minder"... so it must have too much restriction for this turbo. Not too surprised I suppose.
