Hey guys,
Looking for a little knowledge on push button 4wd, here's what we have going so far:

2006 chassis from a duramax truck, with LBZ and Allison, transfer case...with an 85 Chevy body swap.

Wiring up push button 4wd, based on GM schematics, etc.....

Using the Snap-on scan tool, we can successfully do the following:
-manually activate the front axle actuator
-manually command the push button indicator lights on
-show each drive mode on the scan tool when the buttons are pushed

BUT, we cannot do the following yet:
-push button indicators will not blink when ignition is switched on
-transfer case shift motor will not shift when the buttons are pushed, but you can manually position the motor and it does register the position on the scan tool.

All 4wd parts came from the same donor truck, and worked prior to removal.

We do NOT have a BCM wired in, is that going to be required to make the push button 4wd work due to the DLC?

We are also not using a factory instrument cluster or ABS module, etc. Just ECM, TCM, TCCM

Thanks for any help and insight, this is all I lack before the body shop :D

Humm... Good questions.

From my hacking on the LMM's I don't believe the lack of BCM or DIC is your issue. You obviously have a good data link since the TCCM is responding to the SnapOn tool.

Have you done the transfer case position relearn with the SnapOn tool? That fixed a friends truck couple months back that wouldn't go in with the buttons. But it was an LMM..

There is a few others members here that have done similar swaps, which are much better suited to answer this one.
