I have a couple feet of copper line coiled with the electronic sensor in the end of it. What type of gauges do you have right now? I assume you would want to match them? I am running a 100 PSI fuel pressure gauge as my drive pressure gauge since DiPricol doesn't have a gauge labeled "Drive Pressure". We're dealers for all the major gauges and I could put you together a complete kit if you want.

I was looking at the Summit Racing website and was thinking an electric oil pressure guage. I am pretty sure I have Auto Meter Ultra-lites. I would like to keep them the same. I also want to do it on a reasonable budget. I was thinking a braided line because I monkey under the hood alot and don't want to chance kinking a copper line. I was thinking of the braided line with the ends that you slide in and screw the nut over to lock the hose on. I haven't checked to see what kind of heat any of that line can handle. Would it be feasable to sleave the copper with the braided line to protect it? I want to do it once and not have to mess with it again. I am open to buying anywhere as long as it is a competitive price.

If a guy went with a mechanical gauge how would you filter out the soot? Mechanical gauges are alot cheaper, and that is the route I would rather go.

Would a nitrous filter work to filter out the soot? If I went with an electrical guage I would want a full sweep one for more accuracy. A full sweep electric gauge is 200 and that is more than I can afford to spend. I can get a mechanical gauge for less than 70 plus 15 for a filter.

i used a moisture inline filter that you get from home depot for your air tools. its been on for 2 months with no problem being plastic. also i used 5 ft of 1/4" copper line that i coiled around a jack handle(to look nice and uniform) and then i went to 1/8" at the firewall going in the cab. also used a 100psi mechanical autometer ultralite silver face boost guage. i also used an inline valve(almost fully closed) in the 1/8" line to reduce guage flutter

Ive never used a filter,However in the middle of winter my line will freeze after shutting down from long trips

Useing a electric gauge means you dont have to run exhaust line in the cab....up to you if you want to do that?

installing normal braided hose will melt the inside teflon,6" is plently of tubing .....you dont need to get all fancy and wrap it.

there is very little heat in the line after you get away from the exhaust UNLESS the line is leaking and its starts to flow though it:eek::DOther wise its just pressure.
