Hello I have a 2007 lbz 4wd automatic Chevy and here's the issue. It pulls hard at idle like the converter is not disengaging. Do y'all have any ideas on what the cause might be?

If it is the converter should I go back stock? If not which aftermarket do you suggest

Definitely sounds like a bad converter.

It's not possible for an Allison to lock the tcc in 1st gear correct?

Not necessarily, but it could be.

What else could it be? That's what happened to mine with the same symptoms. I had to throw it in neutral every stop. It would heat up fast also. I made a 4.5 hour drive with it like this, so its not to say you need to totally park it till you get it fixed... If its your only vehicle I mean, just try not and let the trans over heat.
