Ok before ya freak out at me I know there have been plenty of people that pulled with leveling keys and ended up with broken front ends. My question is there anyone, or has anyone seen someone using leveling keys along with hanging front weight? I could get away with most classes hanging at least 700lbs out front in 8000lb classes. So along with the hanging weight in the front, and pulling the bolts out of the keys all the way, can I get away with it?

Reason being I have a set of 33s I want to throw on my truck for summer time and I dont want to cut the shit out of my fenders if I can avoid it.

I have 33's on my truck on 20 inch rims with just the stock keys cranked and no rubbing or cutting. As long as your CV's are flat or negative when pulling you shouldnt have a problem. Good luck turning with weight on the front, no lift and 33's though.

I know that the 99-06 trucks do tuck tires a little better than these new truck but I just was curious about the pulling aspect of it and whether or not anyone has had luck with them and hanging weight.

I have pulled multiple times with my keys, I have never hung weight i just let them all the way down. Never broken anything and pull with 35's. I do have a SS center link and tie rod sleeves though.

I broke 2 drivers side axles just playing on the street with Green keys. Even lowering backing the bolts all the way out it still flexed the centerlink alot plling.

I have Cognito braces and sleeves, the issue is the cv angle, its too steep and it breaks the inner cup that the joint rides in........Pete I would swap keys before the pull, its pretty easy I have the tool if you need to borrow it, its no problem.

I pull with aftermarket keys in my truck, they are not the "green keys" though. I have suspension Max Cam leveling/lowering keys. The setting I have them on is like +1.5/-2.5, so i can crank them to daily drive with no problems with 33"s but can pull my bolts out and slam it, my angles are pretty negative with 150lbs in the cab....I had no problems last year with it like this so I will probably leave them.

Just got to make like 20 point turns when trying to get around if you don't want to trash your fenders.:(

maybe the difference is aftermarket keys versus green keys, mine are aftermarket and when i let them down all the way it is very low, maybe green keys dont go as low

Don't do it...put stockers back in

I pulled the first 5 or so pulls last summer with green keys in my truck and my bars have sagged quite a bit since new. Even hanging 1800lbs I would still toe in extremely bad even with the centerlink strapped...maxthis and others saw it. I never did break anything other than a couple ratchet straps for the centerlink, but I'm not sure how. The truck hopped really bad, I didn't believe the front end toeing in could make the whole truck do that so I kept putting off swapping out the keys for stock ones because I didn't think the keys were the problem.

Took the green keys out for a stock set and all my problems were fixed, hanging weight or not. :)
